I was quite fascinated to read about the launch of Toshiba's Gigaframe Q8 digital photo frame recently. These days so many of us, probably most, resort to digital photography and store them on our PCs or cell phones, rather than trying to print them all.
Here's a way of having a digital frame for your desk at work - or at home - instead of trying to decide which printed photos to display there.
The Gigaframe Q8 has an 8-inch screen, 4:3 aspect ratio and 800 x 600dpi resolution. Ideal for displaying pictures formatted in the normal, more popular sizes.
It has a pre-installed memory of 128MB and the option to expand up to 8GB with SD, MMC, oe xD memory cads. It also has two stereo speakers, which allows it to double as an MP3 player or to play music while you're watching a slide show of your pictures!
I love the concept - didn't know that they did these things!
For those of us in South Africa, I believe that Mustek markets them at around R1400.00. Internationally, I'm sure you're way ahead of us, so whoever sells Toshiba in your country should have them on the shelves.
